LeBron James Bio

LeBron James is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers (at the time of this writing) of the National Basketball Association.

He was born on December 30, 1984, in Akron, Ohio. LeBron's father, Anthony McClelland, had LeBron when he was just a teenager and wasn't able to care for him properly, so LeBron was raised by his mother Gloria James.

As a kid, LeBron loved playing basketball and was very good at it. LeBron attended St. Vincent–St. Mary High School in Akron where he played basketball and was unanimously known as the top player in the country.

LeBron was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick in 2003. He won his first NBA Championship with the Miami Heat in 2012 and then again in 2013. In 2014, LeBron returned to the Cavaliers and won his third NBA Championship with them in 2016. In 2018, LeBron signed with the Lakers. LeBron has won four NBA Championships, four NBA Most Valuable Player Awards, three NBA Finals MVP Awards, and two Olympic gold medals.

LeBron James is also a successful business entrepreneur, and he has launched a number of businesses and ventures, including a production company and a line of sneakers. He is an active philanthropist, and he has donated millions of dollars to charitable causes through his LeBron James Family Foundation.
